Picture this…You’re in Wal-mart, picking up your much-needed odds and ends like bath soap, dog food, and something for dinner, and you turn the corner and see this guy:

No, you’re not dreaming…that’s exactly what could happen this Wednesday, 5:30pm at the Burlington Wal-mart on Garden Road!  Chris Young will be there for the official Wolf CD Release Party, playing songs from his new CD and signing autographs!  Who’da thunk Country Weekly’s Hottest Bachelor would be hanging out in the middle of the Electronics section?  Makes you want to put on a little makeup and do your hair for that next Wally World trip…you know, just in case   See you there!!

Taylor Swift was on tour with Keith Urban and decided to pull a prank on the headliner during the last show.  Keith was performing “Kiss A Girl” for the encore, and Taylor and her band came out dressed as KISS!  (Taylor is Ace Frehley)  There were also girls dressed as Hershey’s Kisses running around…too funny!!

Today I remember the good times…I am trying to forget the fact that, after 20 years of boot scootin’ and playin’ something country, Brooks & Dunn are retiring…calling it quits…

Seriously?

You didn’t ask me, the Prime Minister!

So what’s going to happen now, without any new line dances and hot club tracks?  Am I going to be stuck with the same ten studio albums B&D put out for the rest of eternity?

September 8th they put out their Greatest Hits album, then go on tour sometime in 2010 for the last time.

Just like ‘The Song Remains the Same’, I’ll have to remember Brooks & Dunn in the same light as I do Zeppelin.

That…sucks.

So, today, I put two of my favorite things together, so I don’t feel so hurt.  Brooks & Dunn and King of the Hill…

So Gloriana’s new CD came out on Tuesday…turned out their debut turned into like the best seller of the day on iTunes and Amazon, plus could potentially be the biggest CD of the week…so, what does the band do?  They attempt to steal their album from Best Buy in New York City.  Smart…have you ever seen how tight security is in Best Buy!

Alan Jackson has his Franklin Tennessee Estate “Sweetbriar” up for sale.  Got an extra $38 million lying around?  Then 135 acres, a 2 story, 18222 sq foot house with 6 BR & 7 full baths, plus a whooooole bunch of other crap can be yours!!  I’ll just rent out a bathroom, thankyouverymuch.
